Much-loved Ford cars, trucks and muscle cars will be on display at Mid-Suffolk Showground
Stonham Barns Park – one of Suffolk’s premier leisure, retail and holiday destinations – is hosting its first Ford Fanatics Show on Sunday 7 September.
Show organiser Shaun Rainford is setting up the show for the first time in 2025 after the Ford Fanatics Club attended the Classic Car Show at Stonham Barns Park last year.
Delighted with their first ‘Show and Shine’ event, Shaun explains: ‘For Fanatics is a dedicated car show for lovers of the Ford marque. We are looking for owners of special vehicles to bring their pride and joy – whether vintage or contemporary – to our show where we will unite to exhibit our vehicles together for the first time in Suffolk.’
‘We had such a warm welcome when we came to the Classic Car Show last year that we thought we would stage our own Ford Fanatics show for anyone who is fanatical about their Ford cars and trucks – and we are hoping to attract some proud owners and enthusiasts from the area.’
The exhibits are expected to range from the 1920s to the present day to include the Anglia, Capri, Cortina, Escort, Fiesta, Mustang – the legendary American muscle car. While display cars and drivers enter free, the organisers are hoping for donations to support their chosen charity Macmillan Cancer Support.
Sham Lord Loxley (Shamsher Singh) – a collector of classic and modified Fords and social media influencer – will be attending the show to give his ‘Finger of Approval’ trophy to one of the cars on display on the day.
There will be prizes for Best Club Stand, Best in Show, Stonham Barns Park’s Car of the Show, Best Modified, Best Show & Shine plus there will be club stands, trade stands, auto jumble, a chilli hot wing eating club challenge, a show and tell and food and drink stands.
Offering facilities to suit all ages, Stonham Barns Park has pirate themed adventure golf, adventure footgolf, a 9-hole golf course, shopping village, Suffolk Owl Sanctuary, Teapot Pottery and Tearooms, Meerkat Castle, Legends Sports Bar, Theatre, Café 24 restaurant, fishing lakes and fair rides. All show visitors will be given an Event Wristband to entitle them to receive discounted entry to Bloomfields Amusements, Carters of Suffolk Pottery Painting, Stonham Barns Golf Park family fun and entry to the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary and Nature Centre.
Stonham Barns Park has been serving the community of Suffolk since it first opened in 1987 and is still as much a family destination as it was when it first opened, and it is now becoming a more prominent part of Suffolk tourism which is growing exponentially year on year. Stonham Barns Park itself welcomes many visitors from all over the UK – particularly from London, the South-East and from as far away as The North and Scotland.
