Christmas Craft Market goes all-out to bring festive fun to adults and children

The feature-packed and brightly-illuminated Christmas Craft Market will be staged at Stonham Barns Park on 26 and 27 November (from 10am – 4.00pm).

With mince pies, mulled wine, hot chestnuts, live music – and a Christmas prop for a selfie – one of Suffolk’s premier entertainment venues, is preparing to pull out all the stops and put on a weekend of ‘festive fun’ for both adults and children.

Explains Events Manager Fraser Carson, ‘Christmas is all about memories and we are looking to start the festive fun with our annual Christmas Craft Market.  We are planning to make this our biggest and best yet with all the ideas we can put into it including Santa’s Grotto, a funfair for the children, train rides, bouncy pillow, face painting and delicious food and drink outlets.’

‘We are hoping to make this an extravaganza of all things festive so that people can relax, unwind and look forward to the Christmas period.  The gift ideas will all be here as well as lots of Christmas traditions and activities that will help to kick start the celebrations this year.’

‘The gift and craft retailers attending will be offering some delightful gifts and decorations, and we think many people will support these local businesses by coming to see what’s on offer.’

‘As always we want to capture the spirit of Christmas and spread some seasonal goodwill.’

The market will feature uniquely handmade, handcrafted gifts and products, mostly made in Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex. In addition, visitors will be able to visit the retail village which is packed with 1000s of Christmas gift ideas.  There are arts and craft shops, the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary, Carters of Suffolk pottery and newly enhanced tearooms.

The event offers visitors free parking and free entry.

Around 80 stand holders will attend including – to name just a selection – Hearts and Crafts, Whites Jewellery, Capricorn Melts, The Three Hares, Soap Stuff, Lindy Love, Infused with Kindness, Animal Cancer Trust, The Little Crochet Den, The Toy Den, Tom Robinson Metal Work, Indigo Creations, RSPB and Stardust Spirits.

Retailers at Stonham Barns Park include Carters of Suffolk, Chintzy Lamp, Future Presents Now, Hemingstone Frames, Hot Tub Village, Ideal Interiors, Merit Sheds, Stonham Village Stores, Suffolk Bridal Outlet, The Beauty Barn, The Book Cellar and The Little Dance Barn.  Among the most recent retail additions to the village are The Dogs Business, SUP Den, Lydia’s Fabrics, Stephen Watkins Art Exhibition Outlet and just-opened GG Trading Cards.
