American Car Show 2021 Brings out the Muscle Machines

Stonham Barns Park will attract the Bright, Bold and Beautiful US classics for a day of ‘show and shine’

The American Car Show 2021, in association with the Knuckle Busters Car Club, is set for another ‘perfect day’ say organisers of the show at Suffolk’s Stonham Barns Park (19 September 9.00am – 4.00pm). It will be a show strongly supported by the classic car community exhibiting a dazzling array of cars, trucks and hot rods.  It follows on from the Knuckle Busters car event staged over the Summer Bank Holiday weekend.

Cars on show at the early autumn event will span the last six decades, and included Chevys, Mustangs, Buicks, Corvettes and Fords to name a few.

Each of the exhibits will be on show for a stunning static display before being expertly driven around the showground in a ‘Show & Shine’ parade with trophies for the best in categories.

Live music on the day will be from the V8 Rockets and Rockabilly DJ Nadge along with the Foxy Rocks Dancers. There will be trade and club stands, an Autojumble and food and drink outlets. The Suffolk Owl Sanctuary will be showing its resident Bald Eagle at the event, making for some great photo opportunities. Camping is also available at Stonham Barns Holiday Park.  Arrival for show cars is between 7.00am and 9.30am.

Speaking about the event, David Sandpearl at Stonham Barns Park says, ‘It is one of our favourite shows of the calendar with American classic and muscle car enthusiasts from all around the county.   The exhibits are always stunning and with the music to go with the cars the visitors are always absorbed in the atmosphere.’

‘The classic car market has boomed during lockdown, both here and in the US.  The enthusiasts have put many hours of work into their vehicles over the lockdowns and the results will be clear to see! You can’t suppress the enthusiasm of these people – they are devoted to restoring and showing their prized vehicles and getting the exhibits together always makes for such a powerful show.’

According to American classic car-experts’ sales of vehicles have increased markedly as people with disposable income and more ‘time on their hands’ have been buying additional classics and spending money on refurbishing their collections to exacting standards.

Offering facilities to suit all ages, Stonham Barns Park has an indoor soft play area, pirate themed adventure golf, a shopping village, owl sanctuary, Meerkat castle, golf park, fishing lakes, children’s play area and fair rides. It also produces a huge variety of family shows and events.

Stonham Barns Park has been awarded the Visit England ‘We’re Good to Go’ industry charter mark. This verifies that the whole site meets the Government and public health guidance on Covid-19 and that site has all the required health and safety processes in place including the NHS Track and Trace scheme.
