Two-day extravaganza of crafts and crafting for all the family

A brand-new event is planned for 2024 at Stonham Barns Park.  It is the Easter Craft Market at Stonham Barns Park which will take place over the long weekend on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 March.

It will give people the chance to visit the venue over the Easter period to see what unique gifts are for sale for themselves or friends and family!

There will be stalls with hand-made locally produced gifts that will not be available on the High Street and during the weekend Stonham Barns Park will be showcasing live music by way of entertainment.  There is no entrance fee for buyers and plenty of FREE parking.

In the Aspal Theatre – at the venue – there will be a ‘make-your-own-crafts’ area with pottery demonstrations, and a chance to ‘have-a-go’ on the potter’s wheel, also paint your own pottery, and various other crafts for visitors to try, along with many crafting stalls. There will also be an Easter Egg Hunt for children.

Essex-based YouTuber Corrine Bradd from Crafts Beautiful Magazine – will be attending the show and doing LIVE demos for the visitors attending the show and social media followers.

The event has been organised by Stonham Barns Park Events Team in association with Laura Mackley of Eastern Pottery Supplies – a developing craft supply business at the venue – recently launched by Laura after she decided to turn a hobby into a business.  She has used her newfound skills as a potter to bring together a range of pottery materials to fill a gap in the market.  Says Laura, ‘The Easter Craft Market is for anyone who is captivated by creativity and so many people are now hooked on hobbies we are hoping to draw in the crowds.’

‘Whether your interest is in drawing, painting, macrame, knitting, crocheting, textiles, glass, metal or pottery, there really will be something here for everyone.’

‘Stonham Barns Park retail village is becoming a hub for crafters and hobbyists and that makes perfect sense as Suffolk is the ideal spot for inspiration and creativity.  We look forward to a weekend of new discoveries and networking.’

The weekend also provides visitors with the opportunity to take a look around around 40 unique shops that are open in the retail village once those attending have looked around the Craft Market.

A range of food and drink outlets will be available on the showground with outdoor and indoor seating. There is also an onsite restaurant located in the shopping village and a tearoom located in The Teapot Pottery by the bouncy pillow.
