Hot Rods, Custom Cars, Bikes and ‘Kustom Kulture’ will all be celebrated at Stonham Barns Park
Stonham Barns Park is launching its fabulous, first car show of the season with the Spring Break Show. It will showcase all things big, bold and custom including American vintage and custom cars, hot rods, and motorcycles. The event is an early season, laid back day out for all the family.
The ‘Kustom Kulture’ show – run in association with the Knuckle Busters Car Club – will be staged on Sunday 11 May from 10am-4.00pm. The bright, colourful and music-based event is dedicated to all aspects of customisation from all makes and marques of vehicle from around the globe with car culture and costumes from as early as the 1950s. There is a Show and Shine competition – featuring top MC John Price a renowned American car commentator – with trophies for the winners of all the different classes where the competition is fierce but friendly. Cars and bikes from as late as 1973 are permitted to enter the event. There will be classes for cars, custom vehicles and bikes including modern Harley-Davidsons, cruisers, bobbers and choppers.
There will also be trade stands and an autojumble at the Spring Break Show for people to visit during the one-day early season event.
Top DJs and bands will entertain the visitors throughout the day with music and dance from the era including the music of J S and The Lockerbillies.
Car customisation started before World War II where parts of cars were removed, skirts were fitted, engines replaced and bright paint colours added to finish, while today customisation is still a labour of love with owners exhibiting their cars up and down the country throughout the summer months.
Alex Muckle from Stonham Barns Park Events Team said: ‘This is the first car show of the 2025 season – focusing on custom cars – and we are expecting a mega display from owners and a great attendance on the day. This show is always so cool with a great family atmosphere. It’s the kick off to launch the car show season and the vintage cars, bikes and hot rods always surprise and delight the crowds.’
‘This event will bring together custom car and bike enthusiasts who enjoy the music as well as some of the fashion from the same vintage era.’
‘It’s bold, bright and seriously nostalgic – and one not to miss!’
Other forthcoming car events on the calendar include Vauxfest, DUB Speed VW Show, The CTG American Car, Bike and Hot Rod Show, The Classic Car Show, Knuckle Busters Weekender, Ford Fanatics Show, American Car Show and Land Rover Show.
